First anniversary celebrations

It has been a year since the Kumbhabishekam was done and since then the temple has been the hub of the local religious activities.
To mark the occassion a function has been organised on 29th Nov. 2009 morning. It will be graced vy Sri Seethala Swamigal, Sri Muralidhara Swamigal of Walaja and Sri Santha Swamigal of Thiruvalam. The invitation and detailed programme are as enclosed.

Nambarai Mandalabhishekam

The Mandalabhiskam poorthi function was organised with 108 sankabhishekam with active participation of the villagers. Sri Muralidhara Swamigal of Sri Dhanvantri Peetam of Walajabad. A souvenir was also released on the occasion.

Tiruppani Kuzhu proposes to take two other temples for renovation. We will keep those event related news posted as well.

Mandalabhishekam announcement

Dear devotees,
The Mandalabhishekam function will take place on Jan 25, 2009 - Sarvadhari varsham, Thai 12. A special souvenir with tamil hyms of Vinayar agaval, Siva puranam, Abhirami andhadhi, Skanda sashti kavacham is planned to be released on the occassion. Apart from special poojas and abhishekams, religious discourse, Thevaram rendering have been organised on that day. Please find below the tamil invitation in scanned format.

Kumbhabishekam performed

We are happy to note that, due to the grace of Lord Siva, the Kumbhabishekam ceremony was performed with religious fervour amidst stains of Nadhaswaram music and a huge gathering of villagers on 8th December 2008 a little after dawn in fine weather.

The completion of the mandalabhisekam puja will take place on Jan 25th, 2008.

It is planned to release a souvenir on the occasion. The book will contain Tamil verses, Vinayagar Agaval, Sivapuranam, Abhirami Andhadhi and Skanda sashti kavacham in bold letters. This will enable the devotees to use the book for daily parayanam. Devotees are requested to support this endeavour by sponsoring the souvenir.

Kumbhabhishekam on Dec 8 2008

The Kumbhabhishekam of Sri Maragathavalli sametha Gowreeswarar temple along with the accompanying deities of Vinayakar, Murugar and Chandikeswarar at Nambarai village will take place on Sarvadhari year, Karthikai maasam 23rd day – Monday, Ravathi star and siddha yogam (8th December 2008). The consecration will take place between 6 am and 7:30 am in vrichika lagnam. The ceremony will be performed by Sri V.N Sabharatna Gurukkal of Vilambakkam. The pujas will commence on the morning of 7th December 2008.

Village festival time

On October 3rd 2008, 108 milk vessel (Paal kudam) abhishekam to Sri Nandikeswarar was performed with active participation from villagers. This small village of abouty 250 people, assembled in unison for this event with 90 ladies directly participating in this. So work out the percentages!

Ongoing renovation work

Dear Asthikas,
We are happy to note that renovation work is proceeding well. The photos can be seen in the slideshow to the right. The Kumbhabhishekam ceremony is scheduled for January, 2009.
